VCA aims to set up the first carbon-neutral real estate fund in Finland
Vicus Capital Advisors is planning to establish the first carbon-neutral real estate fund specializing in office properties in Finland. The goal of the fund will be to convert all its assets into Net Zero Carbon buildings in accordance with the World Green Building Council's Net Zero Carbon Commitment.
Vicus Capital Advisors is preparing the fund together with leading Finnish partners in the field of sustainable real estate investments. Vicus Capital Advisors is being advised by Petri Suutarinen, the founder of Finreim Oy and former Head of Real Estate of the Finnish pension giant Keva. EcoReal Oy, a leading Finnish energy efficiency consultant and project manager, will become a strategic partner for the fund.
The fund will seek to invest into office properties in Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Tampere. The aim is to establish the fund in early 2021. The planned fund will be a closed-ended fund and aimed at professional investors.
